WHY A RED PANDA WOULD NOT MAKE A GOOD PET

A short video produced by the Cincinnati Zoo, which features red pandas playing in snow and a discussion about why a red panda would not make a great pet. The claws of red pandas are very sharp, like cat claws, and their claws would tear up furniture. Red pandas also mark their territories like many other mammals do, so if you kept red pandas inside your home, it would get very smelly inside. Red pandas are also an endangered species, and their natural habitat is found in areas like China, Central Asia and the Himalayan mountains. Red pandas like to eat bamboo, nuts, berries, seeds and sometimes insects.
